Mountain biking is also very popular in the Sierra Nevada and areas surrounding Granada.
Thanks to the combined efforts of mountain goats, shepherds, smugglers and forest management, the Sierra Nevada has a stunning array of trails from forest tracks to highly technical gully descents.
Many of the trails have a remote feel and you are unlikely to see any other riders with things only getting busy while the local shepherd and his flock pass through.
