This cortijo is situated in Tijola, a very pretty, rural area about 5 km from Orgiva. Tijola became well known as it is situated along the road where the lemons were driven over in Chris Stewart’s book “Driving Over Lemons”.

The area is very peaceful, rural and has an abundance of fruit trees, as well as beautiful views of the Sierra Contraviesa and the Sierra Nevada. The house is very secluded yet has easy access to the road and good parking facilities.

Cortijo Las Pitas has 2 bedrooms and a large open-plan living/dining area, with attractive chestnut beamed ceiling. There is an open fireplace and TV (Spanish channels) and DVD player. The kitchen is fully-equipped and includes a washing machine.

Outside there is a shaded terrace area with patio table and chairs, which looks out onto the garden and has good mountain views. The swimming pool is surrounded by a pretty garden and there are sun loungers provided. There is also a BBQ and outside lighting, making it the perfect place to relax day or night. There is private gated parking within the property.

Property Pricing

Low Season: November to May (excluding Xmas & Easter)
High Season: June- September, Easter, Christmas and Spanish Bank Holidays

A deposit of 40% will be required to confirm the reservation; the balance is due 10 weeks before you arrive.

The owners will also require a 150€ refundable deposit for damages and this will be returned in full, upon departure, provided that there are no damages.
